Capitol Quilts

The Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum hosted the Capitol Quilt Show on January 1, 2012. The exceptional exhibit, featuring over 50 quilts from 70 guilds across Georgia, was hosted at the Georgia State Capitol in anticipation of the museum’s opening. Since the Capitol Quilt Show, the Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum has become a hub for the textile and fiber arts community, featuring unique and historical quilts and textiles that highlight the southeastern region’s part in the wider context of textile and fiber legacy in the United States.

The Capitol Quilts were donated to the museum for fundraising purposes. Purchasing this quilt is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fulfill the quilt’s intended purpose of supporting the museum, and contributing to the lasting impact that the museum offers to its communities.
