Beginner Sewing with Judy - Learn to sew using an easy pattern for pajama pants!

DETAILS: Class will include learning to read a sewing pattern, cutting out your pants and sewing it all together.  The main goal is not the making of the pajama pants, but learning basic sewing skills and increasing your confidence as a beginner! We will be using the Simplicity 1563 pajama pant pattern for this class - it is included in the class fee, along with elastic.

STRUCTURE: Hour 1 - reading the pattern - Hour 2 - pinning and cutting your fabric - Hour 3 - begin sewing your pajama pants

WHAT STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING:

• 2 1/2 yards of 100% cotton fabric of your choice

• matching thread

• your sewing machine (we will make sure you know how to use it)

• machine needles

• fabric scissors

• seam ripper

• straight pins
